Have you ever found yourself stuck in a cycle of worry where anxiety and negativity feel like an accepted part of your daily life? What if I told you that the words you use and the thoughts that you entertain might be keeping you there?
I want to share with you a change I've made in my language. As someone who shares thoughts, content and advice online, I believe it's important to continually take stock of words that I use and to make sure that they're aligning with the message and the spirit I aim to convey. So with that being said, I'm breaking up with the word balance.
Let's talk about Thought Knots. This is the phrase that I use to describe places in your fascia where physical and emotional stress cross over the fascia. The body is a miracle of engineering that when open moves freely, but as soon as that movement gets interrupted, you can find yourself dealing with these pesky Thought- Knots.
Have you ever wondered why I always link fascia and feelings? Is it just because I like the catchy titles? Or maybe it's because the key to unlocking your emotions is woven throughout your entire body.
What do an airplane wing and a skyscraper have in common? They both know how to process massive amounts of energy and let it move through rather than just getting stuck. So what about you?
Did you know one in four adults feels unable to manage stress and pressure in the workplace? Or that 71% of employees found that work stress has caused a personal relationship to end?
I have a question for you. Has your comfort zone become a clutter to home? What do I mean by that? Have you ever felt like the less you move, the less you feel like moving? This idea extends beyond your physical body into your entire life. When movement and change are absent, your comfort zone can fill up with unnoticed clutter. Eventually, that comfort zone shrinks and shrinks and shrinks until you're standing still and time is just passing you by.
Being present in your body can mean that you have the capacity to be incredibly empathetic, which is a good thing, right? But being an empathetic person can mean that you take on too much of other people's emotions. So, how do you deal with that? I'm talking about the gift and the tool of being able to dip in and out of emotions consciously.
Do you find yourself turning to food or alcohol, or other habits that numb your stress and pain, but wish you had a different approach? Have you ever wondered why some of your old coping mechanisms seem to be failing you now? So let's explore why your coping strategies might be out of date and how you can transform them into healthier and stronger habits.
