THREE THINGS I LEARNED WHEN THE WORLD STOOD STILL

I often find myself thinking it’s an interesting and amazing time to be alive. This crazy world of ours is full of magic and wonder. It’s also full of lessons, and I’m always learning new things. Today, I want to talk about what I learned during that strange period of time I’m sure all of us remember well, from 2020 to 2021, when the world stood still. Those couple of years were certainly a massive learning experience for all of us, in a multitude of ways. And while there’s much one could say about that period of time, I’d like to focus on three things I learned when the world stood still.

1.) When I had the space and time to think clearly, with nobody around to interfere, I began feeling in to what I was truly passionate about. This allowed me to dig deep and ask myself powerful questions about what I was here to share. Now rather than re-creating a lockdown situation and hiding in your house – unless you really want to! – find ways to give yourself space and time to uncover what lies in your heart. This can be powerful and life-changing, and it can help you discover your purpose, your calling. To begin, take some time out, tell everyone to leave you alone for a while, and just sit with yourself. Make it a little ritual if you like – light a candle, burn some incense, whatever you fancy. Grab a journal, and answer these questions:

What am I curious about?

What do I have energy and excitement for?

What inspires me?

What do I feel is important and why?

The answers to these questions will point you in the right direction. Be honest with yourself, and enjoy this exploration. Stay curious and open.

2.) Once I knew what I was being drawn toward, I began putting feelers out, talking to people, letting the Cosmos know what I desired. Now, this can be as simple as reaching out to a friend and telling them what you’re thinking or doing research on practical steps to get the ball rolling. Start to ask how to make your desires into reality. Have a clear, strong vision of what you desire and stay focused. Once you begin putting the idea out there, the Cosmos will know you’re serious and will start lining up new opportunities for you. But here’s a catch – you must be open to other possibilities. You might find that your initial idea evolves into something bigger and better! Remember, stay curious and open.

3.) Eventually, my original idea evolved into something even more wonderful, but it was the consistent focus on my desire that allowed this evolution to happen. I found people magnetising to me to help bring my desires to fruition in ways beyond my wildest imaginings. Consistency is the key here. Stay focused with strong intention, and believe in your idea – keeping in mind to be open if the Cosmos decides to send something even better your way. It’s the staying power and consistency that gives momentum to your desires. Give everything the time it deserves, and be patient. And one more time – stay curious and open.

While I’m sure most of us have no desire to recreate the events of 2020-2021, I do hope you can take some time for yourself to be still and really listen to what your inner wisdom is urging you toward.

I’d love to hear what you’re passionate about, so comment below and tell me!

Until next time, I remain a cheerleader for your inner self-worth,
